Content Lock is a CV ecommerce multisite content management feature. It can also be used to restrict content editing to specific roles on a single site. Contact Commerce Vision to enable. Requires: 2022:3. |
Content Lock provides the Administrator and/or Content Administrator roles with content control:
Content Administrator role: When Content Lock is enabled on your site, this role becomes availlable.
NOTE - The CMS Administrator role as super user has all Content Admin permissions by default.
The Content Lock feature must be enabled on each site by Commerce Vision. NOTE - If Content Lock and Deploy Content are enabled on a source site but NOT on a target site, locked content will be deployed as unlocked content. It can be edited on the target site.
When Content Lock is enabled on a site, the feature does not display the 'Contact to Enable' button ().
Assign Content Administrator role - With Content Lock enabled, the CMS Administrator can assign the Content Administrator role to specific users to manage content locking on the single or source site. NOTE - By default, the Content Administrator also has all Deploy Content permissions.
View Content Deployment permission - Commerce Vision can enable permission for any role to view but not edit locked deployed content (on a single or target site). NOTE - Non-admin users cannot view widget contents when the widget or template is locked.
