What is a Custom Catalogue?

A Custom Catalogue is a set of products that are defined within categories. It can contain any amount of products be it small or large. It can contain products that are in the default catalogue (integrated from ERP) as well as products that are not viewable in the main catalogue. As long as the product is in the ERP and available for sale, it can be defined in a custom catalogue.

Custom Catalogues are defined in the web database only as the ERP does not support this functionality.


When would a Custom Catalogue be used?

Custom Catalogues can be used to limit the products a customer can see. Often this is done at the request of the customer where they request that their users only be able to purchase a certain set of products from your website. It simplifies the product offering and also allows your website to offer compliance with your customers needs.

Custom Catalogues are also used to display custom products to customers. This can also be achieved with stock security.
