Embedding OG images in social media shareable links to custom pages is now supported. Add an OG image to give social media viewers a visual teaser of what they will see if they click the link.
CMS BPD already lets you use OG images when Product, Category, Article, and Menu Item pages are shared. As with these pages, OG images for custom pages are only available with versions 4.11 and above.
Use case
You've created a newsletter or new marketing campaign in a custom page. You are going to alert your customers and team members by sharing the page on social media platforms. Grab attention with an eye-catching OG image that will promote your business brand and increase click through rates. Since the image is embedded with the shared content (URL, title and brief description), whenever your customers and staff share the link with their networks, the image will also be shared.
