Customer Self Service features a variety of system messages and prompts that are customisable to your business needs. 

Most customisable system messages and prompts can be maintained via Resource Manager. The remainder will be located in site Settings. 

Step-by-step guide

To Customise a System Message or Prompt

  1. Login as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to 'Content - Resource Manager'.
  3. Type the message or keyword into the Search box at the top of the page.
  4. Set the search parameters ('Contains' or 'Starts With'), and hit Enter or click 'Search'.
  5. A list of results will be displayed. Locate the required message in the list.If the required message is found:
  6. Select the message by clicking the radio button for that record.
  7. Click 'Modify'.
  8. The 'Resource Value' and 'Description' fields will become editable at the bottom of the page. Edit text as required. 
    • Resource Value - this is the message displayed to the customer. Text can be formatted with HTML if desired. 
    • Description - this is an explanation of the message's context; for reference by site Administrators.
  9. Click 'OK' to save changes.If the required message is not found:Navigate to 'Settings - Messages'.
  10. Review the available tables to locate the required message. (e.g. Order Tracking Description, Order Status Description, etc.)
  11. If the required message is found, select it by clicking the radio button for that record.
  12. Click 'Modify'.
  13. Edit message text in the 'Description' field as required.
  14. Click 'OK' to save changes.
