  1. Login as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to 'Content' --> 'Product Attribute' (ProductAttributemaintenance.aspx).
  3. Enter the master product code in the input field and 'Search'.
  4. Select the desired product record via radio button; the 'Details' screen will load.
  5. Click 'Modify'.
  6. Tick the box labelled 'Is a Master Product'.
  7. In the dialogue box, enter the attribute values in the format: "Attribute Title(Attribute List Type{D/R}):Attribute Value,Attribute Value; Attribute Value".
  8. Values should be determined as follows:
    • Attribute Title: the label which will appear to the left of the attribute list (e.g. 'Size' or 'Colour').
    • Attribute List Type: D - drop-down list, R - radio buttons.
    • Attribute Value: the value which will appear in the attribute list (e.g. 'Size 3' or 'Orange').
  9. Click 'OK' to save.

    The last Attribute Value in the list should not be followed by a comma.

    If there are to be multiple attribute lists (e.g. 'Size' AND 'Colour'), use a semicolon between the last 'Attribute Value' of the first list, and the 'Attribute Title' of the next list.

    Example:  Size(D):Size1,Size 2,Size 3,Size 4;Colour(D):Red,Orange,Grey,Green

  10. Click the 'Attribute combinations' tab.
  11. Enter the Child product code in the 'SKU' field for the appropriate attribute sequence.
  12. Repeat Step 11 for all available attribute sequences.
  13. Tick the 'Checked' box against each record populated with a SKU/product code.
  14. Click 'Save' to save changes.
