  1. Login to the CMS. 
  2. Navigate to Settings → Feature Settings.
  3. Edit the Product Maintenance feature. 
  4. Tick the options you wish to enable for product maintenance in the CMS. Options include:
    • Note fields 1 - 5 - this is the data stored in PRONTO's stock-notes table. Enabling this option gives you visibility of the data being integrated to the web, rather than editing capability.

    • Postage & Handling
    • Ribbons - allows products to be marked with a ribbon flag in the CMS
    • Warranty
    • Categories - enables the creation and editing of categories in the CMS (versus being maintained in PRONTO and integrated to the web). Also allows products to be added to / removed from a category via the CMS

      Warning

      Note - the system flag 'Disable Product Category Integration' must be turned on in order to wholly maintain categories via the CMS. Otherwise, category information in the CMS will be for reference only, as it will be overwritten on every integration.

    • Integration Mode:
      • Default - Product Master data is integrated from Pronto as well as category assignments and whether the product is and products will be considered valid for the web if they have a sort code assigned and meet condition requirements.
      • Online - Product Master data is integrated from Pronto, but category assignments & marking products valid are done Products are marked valid for the web in the CMS.
    • Accessories - allows maintenance of related products (also known as Cross Sell).
    • Alternates - allows maintenance of related products (also known as Up Sell).
    • Show Category Code in dropdown (appends the category/sort code to the description in the dropdown selector when adding a category to a product)
       
  5. If Ribbon Flag maintenance is enabled, this is also where you maintain your site's ribbon images, as well as adding custom ribbon flags. See Product Ribbons for more information.

FieldUsage
Title

The Product Title widget on your Product Detail template will display the content from this field.

If this field is left blank, the widget will fallback to the PRONTO product description.

SubtitleIf the 'Show Subtitle?' option is enabled in your Product Title widget, the content from this field will display.

Product Description

This content is stored in the product table under 'ProductDescription' and can be displayed via the Product Field widget .

Product Notes

This content is stored in the product table under 'ProductFeatures' and can be displayed via the Product Field widget.
Notes (1 - 5)

This content is integrated from PRONTO and stored in the product table under 'Notes1' (or Notes2, Notes3, etc.)

You can display it on the Product Detail page using a Product Field widget.

Postage and HandlingThis content is stored in the product table under 'PostageAndHandling' and can be displayed via the Product Field widget.
WarrantyThis content is stored in the product table under 'Warranty' and can be displayed via the Product Field widget.
Ribbon FlagSet the ribbon to appear on the product using the dropdown selector. Several Product Ribbons are included as standard in BPD, plus you can add your own custom ribbons.
Ribbon Expiry DateIf required, set an expiry date for the ribbon. The ribbon will automatically be removed after this date/time, without you having to return to the CMS to edit the product.
Show Price as POATick this option to hide the product's price, instead displaying it as 'P.O.A.' on the website.

This is another name for your product metadata. Unlimited features can be assigned to a product in this section. The list of values you have to choose from is determined by your Metadata integrated from PRONTO. You can configure additional options for each feature in The information here is what your customers will use to filter by when viewing a page full of products.

Product features and their associated values are either A) integrated from your PRONTO Metadata module, or B) configured via the CMS in Products & Categories → Product Features
