The Credit Card Verification Feature Settings can be configured by CMS administrators. When Credit Card Verification is turned on, credit card orders by new customers or users that are over the user-defined monetary threshold are put on hold 'pending' until credit card ownership has been verified. Two available verification methods are offered feature allows you to set up a security process to check credit card ownership on your site. When turned on, the verification process is triggered by credit card orders over a set monetary threshold for any guest checkout and each time a new credit card is used by registered Users and/or Customers. Two verification methods are available - Split Charge (default) and Short Change. Once the user/customer has verified the credit card, the system will not require verification of the credit card on subsequent orders. If the Credit Card Verification Feature Settings can be configured by CMS administrators. |
When Credit Card Verifications is active, an affected order is placed on hold ('pending') until credit card ownership has been verified. For checks against registered users and customers, once the credit card has been verified, it can be used for subsequent orders without triggering a check. If a user has multiple orders on hold against the same credit card, then the system will release all orders when they verify the credit card ownership.
