The Credit Card Verification feature allows you to set up put in place a security process to check credit card ownership on your site. When turned on, the system will flag credit card orders over a set monetary threshold completed by guest checkout and whenever a new credit card is used by registered Users and/or Customers. Two verification methods are available - Split Charge (default) and Short Change. Credit Card Verification Feature Settings can be configured by CMS administrators. |

When Credit Card Verifications is active, an affected order is placed on hold ('pending') until credit card ownership has been verified. For checks against orders by registered users and customers, once the credit card has been verified, it can be used for subsequent orders without triggering a checkfurther checks. If a user has multiple orders on hold 'pending' against the same credit card, then the system will release all orders when they verify the credit card ownershipupon successful credit card verification. Guest checkouts over the threshold amount will always trigger the verification process.
