Many text prompts in standard pages can be changed by defining resources in the CMS. This allows customers to customise messages that appear on the website. Customer Self Service uses a function called "resources" to define messages. These can easily be changed by the system administrator.
Step-by-step guide
- To know if a message is customised using a resource, search for the text in the resource maintenance page:
- Login is as administrator
- Go to Content - Resource Manager (call Commerce Vision if this is not set up on your admin menu)
- Search for the text
- If you find it - then it is a resource that can be customised
- Use the modify option to change the text in the resource value.
- Update
- Go to Settings --> Dictionary --> Refresh Cache to force the change into the servers cache
