Filters are a powerful way to target your content, based on role, customer code, marketing flag, or countless other criteria.

But did you know you can now apply filters based on a User or Group of Users

Prerequisites

You'll need the feature 'Additional Layer Filters' enabled for your site. Contact us to switch this on for you.

Feature setting - enable 'User Group Filtering'

How To

Basic workflow around adding users to group, assigning group to a Layer.

Can add based on email address, or even UserID (if you get this data from Analytics, for instance). CSV will accept either/both.

Edit a Layer and scroll to the 'User Groups' section. Here, you can do 1 of 2 things:

  1. Add an existing User Group to this layer
  2. Maintain User Groups to create a new group for this layer.

Add User Group

  1. Click this to bring forth a dropdown list of all existing User Groups.
  2. Select the required group from the list
  3. Repeat for any additional groups.
  4. Layer active for all user groups excluding the ones listed above - tick this if you want the groups you just added to act as an exclude (rather than include).
  5. Click 'Save & Exit' at the top of the page.
