Give your customers the ability to add items to their cart, then request a quote from you. These wishlists are captured in PRONTO as 'Quote' order types, and can be valuable lead-generation tools.

To enable online quoting, there are three main tasks (step-by-step instructions are below):

1. Turn Quoting on for the Role

  1. In the CMS, navigate to UsersRoles.
  2. Select the Role you'd like to update (e.g. 'CSSUser'). The page will immediately refresh to display role details.
  3. Select the 'Functions' tab and click Modify.
  4. Set 'Allow Order Quote Requests' to Yes.
  5. Click 'OK' to save.

2. Set Order Quoting Mode to Standard

  1. In the CMS, navigate to Settings → Settings.
  2. Select the 'Advanced Quoting' tab.
  3. In the dropdown for 'Order Quoting Mode', select Standard.
  4. Click Update to save.

3. Configure the Quote Confirmation Email (optional)

  1. In the CMS, navigate to ContentEmails.
  2. Search for 'quote' and you'll see 2 options:
    • Quote Confirmation
    • Standard Quote Submitted
  3. Select the Quote Confirmation Email template. This is the email your customer gets when they submit a quote request.
  4. You can edit any of the existing widgets, or add new ones. In the example below, I added a Static Content Widget to display the 'thank you' subtitle text.

Now, your customers can request a quote on the items in their cart! You'll receive a 'Quote Submitted' email, and the customer can go back to their Order History page to see the quote detail.

From here, you simply follow your own internal processes for dealing with quote requests.

Quote requests utilising standard system functionality (outlined above) will not include shipping charges. If this data is required in quote calculations, please contact Commerce Vision for assistance.
