Customer Self Service features a variety of system messages and prompts that are customisable to your business needs. 

Most customisable messages and prompts can be maintained via Resource Manager. The remainder will be located in Settings. 

Step-by-step guide

To Customise a System Message or Prompt

  1. Login as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to 'Content - Resource Manager'.
  3. Type the message or keyword into the Search box at the top of the page.
  4. Set the search parameters ('Contains' or 'Starts With'), and hit Enter or click 'Search'.
  5. A list of results will be displayed. Locate the required message in the list.
  6. If the required message is found:
    1. Select the message by clicking the radio button for that record.
    2. Click 'Modify'.
    3. The 'Resource Value' and 'Description' fields will become editable at the bottom of the page. Edit text as required. 
    4. Click 'OK' to save changes.
  7. If the required message is not found:
    1. Navigate to 'Settings - Messages'.
    2. Review the available tables to locate the required message. (e.g. Order Tracking Description, Order Status Description, etc.)
    3. Select the message by clicking the radio button for that record.
    4. Click 'Modify'.
    5. Appropriate fields will become editable. Edit text as required.
    6. Click 'OK' to save changes.

 

If the required message cannot be found by searching Resource Manager or the Messages tab in Settings, contact Commerce Vision's Support Team for assistance.
