If you provide a pickup ('Click and Collect') option for your customers, you can now select to charge a deposit only on the order total, with the remaining balance paid instore upon pickup. Your business may prefer this setup, for example as a fraud prevention measure. You decide on the deposit (a nominated percentage of the order total). This option is available only for payment by credit card or PayPal.
Set Up
This feature has to be configured and enabled by CV Support.
Detailed Information
1. The deposit flag is triggered when the customer selects 'Pickup' during checkout.
2. The customer will be informed that they are required to pay a n% deposit of the order total.
3. If the deposit payment is successful, the order is processed and the customer will receive a confirmation of order placed email stating that deposit paid and the balance owing. The balance is to be paid using an instore payment option upon pickup.
Implementation Notes
- The deposit and balance information in the order confirmation email is contained in the custom widget: DepositInformation. The message can be edited.
