Locking is part of Commerce Vision's Franchiser and Multi-location website features. 

Requires 4.37+.



Overview

Templates and pages are layouts that add and arrange the content of webpages on your website. For multi-site control of content, administrator roles on the parent site can lock whole templates and pages, or individual objects within them, i.e., zones, layout and widgets, then deploy these locked (and unlocked) statuses to child sites. Child site users cannot add, edit or delete a locked object. If a whole template is locked, none of its objects can be changed. 

When locking is enabled, Locked/Unlocked buttons appear against lockable objects. Locked are automatically displayed but unlocked buttons display only on hover.
