Step-by-step guide
1. Enable Category Deploy
- In the CMS, go to Settings → Settings → Feature Management → Content → Linked Sites.
- Ensure Linked Sites is enabled, then click Configure.
- In Deployment, toggle ON deploy for Category Maintenance.
- Click Save or Save & Exit.
2. Deploy category changes
This step assumes you have category data ready to deploy. Deployable data for a category are from Category Maintenance in Online mode.
To deploy category data:
- Go to E-commerce → Products & Categories → Category Maintenance.
- Do you want to deploy data from multiple categories or a single category?
- Multiple categories - click Deploy at the top right of the page.
- Single category - find the category, hover over its Options, then click Deploy.
Follow the steps in the Deploy modal:

2. Toggle ON a category to deploy. If you're deploying multiple categories, toggle ON each one or Select All.
3. Click Next.
4. Toggle ON a linked site(s) to deploy to.
5. Click Next.
6. Check deploy data and details are correct, then click Deploy.
In the next modal window, check whether deployment was successful or failed,
Tip Think of the deployment process as completing one or more deployment instances.
- In a deployment instance, changes in selected data type(s) and items are copied over to one destination site.
- For a successful deployment instance, all changes must be successfully deployed to a destination site. If one change fails to deploy, the whole deployment instance will fail. No changes will be copied over to this site.
- If you selected multiple destination sites, you are initiating multiple deployment instances.
Successful deployments - the progress bar reaches step 4 'Results' and has a 'Successful' message. You can also click the link (2) to see the deployment details.
Unsuccessful deployments - the progress bar remains at step 3 'Summary' and the failed message is displayed. Review this deployment's data and details for issues before trying again.

- single linked site - all changes to selected data type(s) and items have been deployed on the destination site.
- multiple linked sites - all changes to selected data type(s) and items have been deployed on all destination sites.
Failed
- single linked site - at least one change to selected data type(s) and items cannot be deployed and the whole deployment instance was cancelled. Nothing was deployed to the selected linked site.
- multiple linked sites - at least one change to selected data type(s) and items cannot be deployed on all sites and all deployment instances were cancelled. Nothing was deployed to all selected linked sites.
