Image Removed Commerce Vision's CV ecommerce platform has built-in functions that provide content publishing management for organisations with multiple linked sites (multisites). All sites in your organisation network must be on the same version for remote content deployment. The Role-based content control solution can also be used by single site businesses to restrict editing of some content items to select CMS users.

Overview

An organisation may have multiple associated websites. Examples include corporations with multi-brand websites, businesses that offer distinct sets of products/services on different websites, businesses with separate ecommerce stores in different regions, and franchiser-franchisee networks.


Multisite Content Management functions aim to enhance Regardless of how individual websites may be different or similar to each other, on the CV ecommerce platform, linked websites are all sites that have been grouped under the same Organisation Id. Depending on the organisation and business structure, there may be occasions for content to be shared or controlled across linked websites. Multisite Content Management Functions allow content sharing and control for organisations with on two or more linked CV ecommerce websites in their networks.  .    Only linked websites can use  linked websites are all sites that have been grouped under the same Organisation Id.


What is content sharing and control?



  • Content Lock allows specific content items to be locked on a website. Locked items can only be edited or deleted by certain CMS users on Role-based permissioning. 
  • Deploy Content allows saved content items from a source website to be copied over to one or more target websites. When Content Lock is also in use, lockable content items can be copied over in 'locked' status. This prevents any CMS user of a target site from editing or deleting that item.
