The Mailchimp Abandoned Cart Email when implemented will send an email with cart contents to customers that have abandoned their cart before completing their orders.

This feature requires consultation with Professional Services and the client site must have been upgraded to Mailchimp's API version 3.0.

The client must also have their Mailchimp account set up for this feature, including creating suitable email (and must be an account that has previously created a classic automation). See:  https://mailchimp.com/help/create-an-abandoned-cart-email/

Set up:

  1. Enable Abandoned Cart Restoration and set the expiry field (default value is 7 days) then refresh cache from CMS to enable Abandoned Cart functionality

Please note that the 'Expiry In Days' field is a shared setting for both features Retain Guest User Order When Session Timeout & Abandoned Cart Restoration.

Or enable it from the setting editor

  2. Setup MailChimp API 3.0 Ecommerce in CMS and Postman as below ( More details in Test Plan and Results (93085) - Mailchimp API V3.0 Ecommerce support)

    Set up API in Postman

  3.  Make sure the API key is entered in CSS.
