Overview
The Product Restrictions feature enables bill-to/customer account-based product access/restriction rules to be configured on your Commerce Vision website. A rule can be set for selected:
products
categories or user-defined product groups
warehouses (stock locations)
A rule is created against a bill-to/customer account, and specifies an inclusion or exclusion of specific products, product groups, products based on masking rules, or stock locations.

Step-by-step guide
1. Enable Product Restrictions
In the CMS, go to Settings → Feature Management → Products & Categories.
Ensure Product Restrictions is enabled.
When enabled, Product Restrictions displays on the Products & Categories menu.
2. Add a restriction manually
- Go to Products & Categories → Product Restrictions.
- Existing restrictions are listed. You can edit the items in a restriction or delete the whole restriction.
- To add a new restriction, click Add New Restriction.
- In Select Restriction Type, select what the rule includes/excludes:
- Product - one or more products, or product masks
- Group - one or more categories or product groups
- Warehouse - one or more warehouses (stock locations)
- Existing restrictions are listed. You can edit the items in a restriction or delete the whole restriction.
