To modify the content of an existing template for a static page

When editing content, it is recommended that you have 2 browsers open.

  1. Chrome - use this to modify the content
  2. Firefox / Internet Explorer to view the changed content

This way you do not need to login and out to review the content.

 

Step-by-step guide

Identify the Template you want to change

  1. Browse the page as an end user 
  2. At the start of the page content that requires change, "right click" in the Web Browser
  3. Choose "Inspect Element"
  4. The brower's console will appear, and just above the area you have highlighted, you will see a HTML Comment with a title "Template Name:" (This usually appears in Green to denote it is a comment)
  5. Note this template name

Editing Page Content

  1. Login as an Administrator
  2. Go to "Content"
  3. Go to "Content Editor"
  4. In the Search For box, enter the name of the template
  5. Click on Content Editor (a popup will appear with the content in there) - when prompted about the Content Editor will alter your code, press OK.
  6. Make your changes
  7. Click Save
