This feature can be used to allow users from logging into the website from a designated IP address

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login as an Administrator
  2. Depending on how your site is configured, you may have access to any of the the two User Maintenance pages, Advanced User Maintenance or User Maintenance. Navigate to whichever one is available to you.

  3. For the User Maintenance page, in the list of fields in the section below where you make the user record selection there should appear the setting 'Restricted IP Address'.
  4. For the Advanced User Maintenance page, use the 'Search' tab and then choose to view /edit that user's details in the 'User' tab.
  5. With the user selected, click the 'Modify' button and enter the desired IP v4 address e.g. 162.3.367.25 then click 'Ok' to save.
  6. The next time the user attempts to login they will only be granted access if their originating IP v4 address matches the one entered.
  7. A blank or empty value means that no restriction is applied.
