Lucene Search capabilities are implemented directly into Customer Self Service's application codebase.
This provides advantages for user experience and indexing capabilities:
- Fast indexing and an up-to-date search index as sourced data is local to the search engine
- Faster and more reliable searching as search queries are done locally on the web site server
- No third party Saas or License fees
- Flexibility to apply extra business logic, e.g., search results filter based on user's stock security (i.e. applying item restrictions)
