Access the Quote Review page
The Quote Review page is available for specified Roles when the Request Quote feature has been implemented on your website. ItCustomer Experience
Quote Review is usually added as a Dashboard menu item. But you can add a link to this page from another menu or in the home page itself. (See: Add a Menu Item)
To access 1. User logs in and accesses the Quote Review page :
When logged in, go to(Dashboard → Quote Review).
The Search Quotes page displays. This is a searchable list of current, expired and customer cancelled quotes that have been returned after confirmation by your staff. NOTE - Depending on settings, a search for 'Show All' may start when the page loads.
Search by Quote Number or in Advanced Search, enter a search criteria, then click Search.
Quote Status: Show All, Current, Expired or Cancelled
Quote Submit Date (start)/Quote Submit Date (end): submission date range
Your Reference: Reference code that may have been entered when quote was created
Entered By: User ID of person who submitted the quote (usually email address)
Product Description: product code or description matching products in the quote
Quote Followup Date (start)/Quote Followup Date (end): re-review date range of quotes that were sent for comment or re-review
Once the needed quote is in the Search Results, click View next to it.
The quote details are displayed. At the bottom of the screen, select the button that matches what you want to do.
Accept Quote: converts a current quote to an order. Note - For expired quotes, this is greyed and a Renew Quote button is displayed. The user can send a request to re-activate the quote.
Quote Followup: enter a comment about the quote. This will be emailed to the contact staff member
Resend Quote: re-emails the quote to the user.
Customise the Quote Review Search and Page
2. Quote Review can be set to show all quotes or none on page load. Default summary settings for the quote list are displayed. What information is included can be set. Custom fields can also be implemented.
The user finds the quote and clicks View next to it.
3. The quote's details are displayed. Buttons for permitted actionss are at the bottom of the page.
4. For a current (non-expired) quote, the user can:
- Accept Quote: convert the quote into an order. (Greyed for expired quotes.) To enable freight to be recalculated on order submission, see: Freight Recalculation from Quote Review.
- Quote Followup: enter a comment about the quote. This will be saved in the Followup popup.
- Resend Quote: send the quote to any email address
- Reprint Quote: download a PDF of the quote
- Cancel Quote: delete quote. The user must select a cancel reason. See: Add quote cancel reasons
For an expired quote, the user can:
- Renew Quote: request reactivation of the quote.
Configure settings
Add Cancel reasons
When a user cancels a quote, they are asked to select the reason for cancelling. Administrator roles maintain these reasons in the CMS.
- In the CMS, go to Settings → Settings → Feature Management → Payment & Checkout → Quotes.
- Click Configure for Quotes.
- In Configuration Settings, click the Edit Quote Cancelled Reasonsbutton.
- In Quote Cancelled Maintenance, to add a reason. click the Add New Quote Cancelled Reason button.
- Enter reason information.
Is Active - reason is live and can be used
Code - id for the reason. Not shown to users.
Description - label for the reason. Displayed to users in the dropdown list.- Click Save.
Customise Quote Review page and Search
Options, text and labels for the Search function and Quote Review page are rendered by the Quote Review Widget.
To edit the widget:
- Go to Content → Content → Pages & Templates → Orders → Quote Review Template. You can also use the Search tool to find it.
- Click Edit for Quote Review Template.
- Find Quote Review widget and click Edit.
