Overview
Boost words can be used to increase or decrease the relevance of products based on whether or not they contain certain terms.This can be used for boosting relevance of a particular Brand of product for example.
Boost words can be edited through the 'Boost Words' tab in the Lucene Search Maintenance page.
- A boost value greater than 1 increases the word's relevance in the search result.
- A boost value less than 1 decreases the relevance in the search result.
Maintain the words using the buttons on the grid to add, edit and delete boost words.
You must rebuild the search index after editing Boost Words for the changes to apply.
