    • Pages and templates
    • Layouts
    • Articles
    • Banners
    • Widgets
  • Unlockable objects

    • Category details
    • Role settings
    • Section menu items

See: Content Lock.

Deploy Rules

Deploy rules are there to maintain content integrity on linked sites.

  1. Deployment is cancelled if edited object is not found.

Step-by-step

Enable/disable Deploy

  1. In the CMS, go to Settings SettingsContent Linked Sites.

  2. Toggle ON/OFF Linked Sites.

  3. When enabled, Deploy buttons or links will display for deployable objects. (NOTE - For Role and menu deployment, see: Deploy Role and menus.)

Add linked sites

What sites a deployment instance can select from is set in Feature Settings.

To add sites that content can be deployed to:

  1. Go to Settings SettingsContent Linked Sites.

  2. Click Configure.
  3. Scroll down to the Sites section.

  4. Toggle on one or more sites from the available sites.

  5. Click Save.

Deploy lockable objects

A lockable object must be in locked status to be deployable. You'll know when an object is deployable by the displayed Deploy button or link under Options. If your site uses Page Preview and an object is deployed before Publishing, it will be deployed in the Draft mode.

  1. Go to the locked object.

  2. Locate the Deploy button and click it.

  3. In the Deploy modal, select individual objects to deploy or toggle Select All.

  4. Click the Next button.

  5. Select one or more available deployment sites.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Confirm you want to deploy selected objects to selected sites, then click Deploy.

  8. A message alert will display the results of deployment. Check the deploy log if deployment was partially successful or failed.

Deploy non-lockable objects

Non-lockable objects need additional setting to be enabled for deployment.

To deploy a non-lockable object:

  1. In the CMS, go to  Settings SettingsContent Linked Sites.

  2. Click Configure.

  3. In Linked Sites Feature Settings, toggle ON the feature type(s) you want to deploy.

  4. Click Save.
