This feature needs to be switched on for your site by Commerce Vision.
Overview
The Product Search tool is one of the most accessed tool on an ecommerce website. Most visitors will head for the Search box to find products they want to buy. We have dedicated a space to the right of your Commerce Vision site where you can highlight a product or simply use it to alert users to timely news. It's a blank slate so add images, text and links,as you wish. When the user clicks in the Search box, the content displays. It will disappear as soon as the user types in the Search box.
Step-by-step guide
To enable/disable this feature:
- Go to Settings → Feature Management → Products & Categories.
- Ensure
- Navigate to 'Settings' --> 'Dictionary'.
- Enter 'Product' in the Table Name.
- Click 'Define'.
- Enter the name of the field in the 'Search For' area.
- Select 'Contains' or 'Starts With'.
- Click 'Search'.
- Select the field required.
- Click 'Modify'.
- Tick the 'Search Field' box.
- Click 'OK' to save changes.
