Want this feature?

Lock and Deploy Content are two Commerce Vision's multisite features. Implementation requires consultation with Commerce Vision. Deploying and destination sites must be on the same version (min. 2022.2).

Overview

For multisite control, CMS Administrators on a deploying site can enable Campaign Lock. This allows campaigns to be locked. Once locked, a campaign can be  deployed to destination sites. CMS users on destination sites will not be able to edit or delete locked deployed campaigns.

Use case: CV Franchise HQ is launching a nationwide sales campaign to promote a specific set of products for the month of October. It wants the campaign promoted on the homepage of all franchisee sites. With Campaign Lock enabled, the CMS Content Manager can create the campaign on the deploying site, lock it, then deploy the campaign and other required content to the destination site(s).

Related Content

Remember that apart from the campaign itself, other content items need to be in place on a destination site for the campaign to display properly.

Supporting content objects for a campaign required include:

  • the page that displays the campaign
  • on that page, a campaign slider widget to render the campaign
  • products promoted in the campaign.

These may need to be created, configured and/or deployed.
