Locking is a part of Commerce Vision's ecommerce platform's multisite features.
Requires version 4.38+.
Overview
Templates and pages are layouts that add and structure the content of webpages on your website. For multisite control of content, specific roles on a controlling site can lock whole templates and pages, or individual objects within them, i.e., zones, layout and widgets.
Child site users cannot add, edit or delete a locked object. If a whole template is locked, none of its objects can be changed.
Content Lock and Deployment
What can be deployed?
- locked/unlocked status
- locked items (changes, deletions, additions)
What cannot be deployed?
- lockable items that are unlocked,
When Content Lock on a site is enabled, locked/unlocked toggles display against lockable objects. Locked statuses are automatically displayed. The unlocked toggle display only when you hover over the object.
