Is this feature disabled?

Deploy Content is a Commerce Vision multisite feature. In addition, Product Features must be enabled in Settings. 

Requires LTS 2022.3.

Overview

For multisite control, deploying site CMS Administrator and Content Administrator roles can can copy over product features to destination sites. If a deployed feature does not exist on the destination site, it will be added. No feature on destination sites will be deleted. Note that users on these sites can add, edit or delete deployed product feature details. 


What can be deployed?

Any product feature.

Step-by-step guide

1. Enable Product Feature Deploy

  1. In the CMS, go to Settings Settings Feature Management → Content Deploy Content.

  2. Ensure Deploy Content is enabled, then click Configure.
     

  3. In Deployment, toggle ON Product Features

  4. Click Save or Save & Exit

2. Deploy Product Feature(s)

To deploy product features:

  1. Go to E-commerceProducts & CategoriesProduct Features.

  2.  When you're ready to deploy, click the Deploy button.


  3. In the Deploy modal, select the features to deploy. Either Toggle ON each feature individually or use the filterto first find matches to a criteria, then toggle ON Select All.

       
  4. Once selections have been done, click Next.

  5. From the list of compatible sites, toggle ON to select one or more destination sites.
     
  6. Click Next.

  7. Check the Summary of selected items to deploy and destination sites. To continue with deployment, click Deploy. (To edit, click the Back button.)

  8. Now, check whether your deployment instance to each destination site was successful or failed. 'Partially successful' is displayed if deployment to at least one site was successful and failed for at least one site.

    SuccessfulFailed

    (1) Progress bar is complete for all 4 steps.

    (2) If more than one destination site, check that each site is 'successful'. 

    (3) A link to the deployment log is displayed. Click for more details about the deployment instance and to add a note. 

    (1) View general details about the deployment instance.

    (2) Add a note about the deployment.

    (3) View items selected for the deployment instance. Click on an item to view specific details. 

          

    (4) View per destination site deployment status. 

    (5) Click More Information to view deployment status of each item for a specific destination site.

       

    Step 4 is not completed in a failed deployment instance. 

    To view details of a failed deployment, go to ContentAdvanced ContentContent Deployment Log.

    (1) Check if the deployment was successful for all sites. 

    (2) Add a note about the deployment.

    (3) No items are deployed in complate deployment failure.

    (4) View per destination site deployment status. 

    (5) Click More Information to view deployment status of each item for a specific destination site.
